SEO Online Marketing is Viable for Small Business

Google has been praised in some quarters for its most recent up date, called the Farmer Update (aka Panda) that is supposed to reward high quality content. This has worried some who make their money in SEO online marketing that they will lose traffic, however, many experts believe that "high quality" content is still losing out due to black hat SEO plus Google's inadequacies.
This leads some to conclude that SEO is no longer a viable option for start-ups that offer high quality content. However, there are many sites, both large and small, start-ups and well-established, that have done very well with SEO. A sizable portion of their visitors come to their websites via SEO, and they have come through the past search engine algorithm updates unscathed. If SEO was ever viewed by start-ups as the only thing needed to jump-start a new business, this idea was probably misplaced to being with. SEO is a fantastic addition to an overall marketing mix and should be seen as complementary, not primary.
